Clarence Brooks “JR”
JR has over 34 years of experience as a Mechanic, 6 years as a Service Manager at Pep Boys, and about 24 years as a Business Owner. With that kind of experience, there isn’t much he doesn’t know about around AJ’s. His favorite part of the business is working in the shop. And you can probably guess, he hates the paperwork. What he really loves doing is heading to camp and being in nature.
Before joining JR at AJ’s a little over 15 years ago, Teresa was working in the auto and health insurance industries. Not only is she the Bossman’s lady, but she’s also a Notary Public, an Account Manager, a licensed Vehicle Salesperson, Certified Online Advanced Agent Service member and even makes sure we’re all fed. Teresa likes that it’s never a dull moment. But what Teresa loves the most is working with her husband, JR, and son, Chad. You could probably add her brother, Shawn to that list too. She’s a big family person. She really enjoys helping JR in the office and then being able to enjoy quality time at home too. While they enjoy the peace of their cabin, Teresa loves to travel and enjoys being out on the beautiful blue ocean.
Ken’s degree in small engine repair and 17+ years experience at a local truck body company gives him an edge when assisting our customers. He also has experience selling and installing parts for emergency vehicles. This kind and patient guy has been the face behind our counter since September 2014. He’s always ready and willing to help our customers in any way he can. Ken works hard and plays hard. Ken’s a family man, a hunter, and a fisherman. You may even spot him at the local racetrack.

When Mike was young, he trained as an Inspection Mechanic at Dauphin County Vocational Technical School. Later in life, he took to the sky and studied as a Pilot Instructor CFII at Alabama Aviation College. Mike has been with AJ's for a few years now and really enjoys helping our customers. When he’s not at work, he enjoys kayaking, hunting, and fishing with his family.
You can usually find Shawn organizing the overflow lot, keeping the shop tidy or driving in between the two. He keeps a tab on all of our inventory, incoming deliveries and outgoing deliveries to customers. But more importantly, he does whatever the Bossman tells him to do. He loves delivering trailers many, many hours away. He’s been known to drive to Boston and back to deliver a trailer one day, and the next drive to Buffalo and back. He’ll definitely go the distance for our customers! Shawn has been with AJ’s for about 12 years. Previous to AJ’s he put many years experience in similar industries: RV Rentals, Spraying Bed Liners, Sales/Marketing, and even a BMW Technician. Like many of us here at AJ’s, Shawn loves the great outdoors. He hunts, loves traveling, enjoys Nascar and football.

Tom’s the top dog back in the shop. He not only oversees the day-to-day activities of the shop, but he also does his share of wrenching. In his 6+ years here at AJ’s, Tom’s proved he’s top notch when it comes to repairing trailers, installing plows, and anything else we throw at him. He’s been in this industry for over 13 years with experience in welding, plows, custom fabrication and more. He’s also certified in PA State Inspections and Enhanced Inspections. Tom likes the challenges and variety that goes on in the shop. But his heart lays with his hero, his son, Wesley.
Joe is our newest addition to the shop team. He works hard and fits right in with the crew. Joe started in the mechanic industry over 11 years ago. He received his Degree in Collision Repair from Thaddeus Stevens School of Technology. He is a PA State Inspection Certified. Outside of work he likes hanging with his friends, fishing and smoking some mean BBQ.
