Fall has finally arrived, although mother nature seems to be a little confused about the seasons this year. The end of summer brought crazy amounts of rain, resulting in the great flood of 2011 in our area. As we are barely starting to recover from that, the seasons change, but the rain has not. Flash floods all over the area are causing problems once again. Is all this rain giving us clues to what the winter months will bring?
Just imagine that fall was winter for a moment. How much snow does 7″ of rain equate to? Scary, isn’t it? If you take the time now, before it’s too late, and prepare, the winter will fly by with no worries.
How does one prepare for a crazy winter? Plows and salt spreaders of course. Plows are a great way to move larger amounts of snow from your driveway or lane, and can keep you from getting “plowed in” by the municipal crews. Salt spreaders are excellent for laying down a protective barrier for ice storms and keeping the slush from building up. Here at Aj’s Truck and Trailer Center, we can help you figure out a plan for battling the winter weather.
We are an authorized dealer for Fisher Snow Plows and Spreaders, as well as the Meyer Plow and Spreader lines too. If a plow isn’t going to suit your needs, we are a SnowEx dealer as well, covering all you salt spreader needs. SnowEx offers a full line spreaders, from walk behinds for the home owner to V-box spreaders for dump trucks.
